The Dunes are an Adelaide based dream pop band from Australia. The band’s two main members, Stacie Reeves and Matt Reiner, first played together in Adelaide as part of Matt Reiner and the Aunt Sallys. They recorded their debut single through the quiet pop record label which was released in July 2011. Their musical style is influenced by Mazzy Star, Calexico, Grant Lee Buffalo, Nick Drake, Portishead, Low and other similar acts of the ’90s-’00s indie genre and alternative rock spectrum. The name of the band came to Reiner in a dream.
